Terms and Conditions
To help the community of IKAGE SD COLLEGE (PTY) LTD, we provide an easy payment method. A deposit plus registration fee is payable upon registration and is not part of the exam fee. The remaining balance must be paid in monthly instalments, and all fees must be paid on or before the last day of each month.
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to pay fees directly into the college bank account. Please use the student’s ID number as the reference and fax or send the deposit slip to the college. Parents are advised to keep all receipts and deposit slips safely.
The registration fee is payable by all students regardless of how many subjects they register for.
STUDENTS MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND THE RULES AND REGULATIONS BEFORE SIGNING THE CONTRACT
- IKage SD College is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a contact-learning institution.
The college cannot register students who wish to study via correspondence.
Part-time classes are available for working students. - Students registered for exam-only are strictly prohibited from attending classes.
- Students who failed any subject(s) in a previous exam and wish to retake them, while registering for higher-level subjects simultaneously, may be considered for relief by management.
Students will still pay exam fees for each subject and full instalments for higher-level registrations. - Failure to attend lectures for any reason does not reduce the total cost of the course.
No credits or reductions will be granted for missed classes. - No refunds will be made for any payments relating to registration, books, or fees.
- A 25% cancellation fee applies if written cancellations are received less than 3 working days before the course start date.
The full fee is payable if no cancellation is submitted before the scheduled date. - Overdue fees will incur interest at a rate of 8.5% per month, calculated from the due date until full payment is received.
- Should legal action be required to recover outstanding fees, the student/applicant will be liable for all costs, including collection fees, tracing charges, and attorney-client costs.
- Malicious damage to college property will be treated seriously and may result in claims for damages and/or expulsion.
Interest at 2% per month will be charged on damage-related fees not settled within 30 days.
Expulsion does not absolve the student/parent from paying outstanding fees. - No unruly or disruptive behaviour will be tolerated. The college reserves the right to:
- Suspend offenders for a specific period, or
- Expel offenders without recourse.
Such disciplinary actions will not absolve the student/parent from paying outstanding fees.
- The college strives to provide a safe environment, but is not liable for accidents, injuries, disability, or loss/damage to property on the premises or while commuting.
- Allowing a student in arrears to continue attending does not waive the college’s right to enforce the contract’s terms and conditions.
- If fees are overdue for more than 7 days, the college may demand immediate payment of the full outstanding balance.
- The college may not always use the latest software version for training.
Software selection depends on stability and relevance. - Courses offered cover essential and practical applications for intermediate users.
- Students who miss examinations without a valid reason will pay a fee of R350 per missed module before being allowed to rewrite.
- The physical address provided by the student on the registration form will serve as the official address for all legal communication.
- By signing the contract, the student confirms that no terms or representations outside this agreement have been relied upon.
