Overview
A Legal Secretary plays a vital role in supporting legal professionals by applying knowledge of South African legal practices within a professional office environment. This programme equips learners with strong administrative, computer, and communication skills required to assist Legal Managers, attorneys, and legal teams in fast-paced and deadline-driven settings.

Certification & Examination Authority
All examinations are national examinations set and administered by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
Learners will receive:
- National Certificates at N4, N5, and N6 levels
- National N Diploma in Legal Secretary upon successful completion of N4–N6 and 18 months of in-service training
- All certificates and diplomas are issued by the DHET and are nationally recognised by industry and universities.

Applicants must hold one of the following:

Duration
Full-time study: Minimum of 2 years (theory)
In-service training: 18 months
The National N Diploma includes two years of theoretical study and 18 months of workplace experience
